Captain Steve Gould brings over two decades of professional angling experience to every charter, backed by a lifelong passion for fishing and an impressive record guiding on waters across the U.S. and Canada. His knowledge runs deep—not just in technique, but in understanding the needs of each guest who steps onto his boat. Having once owned a successful leader and lure business, Steve is no stranger to hands-on craftsmanship, having designed and built thousands of wooden fishing lures used by anglers nationwide.

Now based in Naples, Florida, Steve runs fishing charters year-round and knows these local waters inside and out. His deep familiarity with the area’s fisheries gives guests an advantage, whether they’re targeting tarpon, snook, redfish, or other popular species. His trips are tailored to each guest, and he takes the time to make sure every outing is productive, comfortable, and educational—especially for those new to fishing in Southwest Florida.

Captain Steve's approach to guiding is built on versatility. He’s well-versed in everything from light tackle finesse to the power of heavy tackle setups, and regularly uses spinning, jigging, popping, and bottom fishing to match the day’s conditions and goals. Whether you're learning the basics or sharpening your skills, Steve provides the support and insight needed to help you succeed on the water.

His boat, a 2024 25-foot Pathfinder center console powered by a Yamaha engine, is a dependable and well-equipped vessel built for performance and comfort. With a cruising speed of up to 45 knots, it handles the coastal waters around Naples with ease. The center console layout provides open space for casting and maneuvering, while modern safety features and navigation tools ensure a smooth, secure ride. Designed for up to 3 guests, it’s the ideal setup for both nearshore and backwater trips.
